Why does I blog

or how I started to like the machine.

Three or four years ago I could not imagine myself showing any attention to writing on anything else than paper. I loved paper and pen writing, I was retro, romantic, authentic, true to the natural way people learned how to write... I resisted any form of involvement in the virtual world other than the ones recommended for job purposes. I was keeping myself FREE FROM THE MACHINE, something fascinating but hard to grasp, definitely too a World Wide Web to have the courage to step inside. I was afraid of the CHANGE and refused to contribute (though sometimes even I admitted to the convenience of the web). I kept reading what was happening OUT THERE, but never had the courage to jump in. I remember reading the blog of a 13 year-old kiddo and Russel Davies's. and others as well. Just a puzzled observer. Secret admirer.
Three or four years from then I realised that web 2.0 empowers people not only to speak and communicate, but to learn, self develop and surpass blockages. like mine.
I find this video inspiring and honest. We're evolving ..it's better to acknowledge that and keep a close eye on everything than to keep one's head in the sand hoping this too will pass, and the world will return to its old time customs (see handwriting on paper).
